Alt rock icons Weezer will release their ninth studio album, Everything Will Be Alright In The End, on October 7th via Republic Records. Following singles “Back To The Shack” and “Cleopatra”, along with a snippet of the Bethany Consentino-aided track “Go Away”, the band offers another preview with “The British Are Coming”.
Far and away the most promising number of the bunch so far, “The British Are Coming” highlights Weezer at their very best. Rife with anthemic, first-raising choruses and fireworks-like guitar solos, the explosive song makes good on its Revolutionary War references. Now brandishing such a fighting spirit, Rivers Cuomo and co. are sure to convert some of the skeptics who dipped out after the Green Album.
Listen in below (via Under The Gun). The track is also available for instant download to anyone who pre-orders the album on iTunes.
