Belle and Sebastian premiere new song “The Party Line” — listen

on October 28, 2014, 1:40pm

Belle and Sebastian will return with their ninth studio album, Girls in Peacetime Want To Dance, on January 20th via Matador Records. The 12-track effort follows 2010’s Write About Love and was produced by Ben H. Allen III (Animal Collective, Washed Out, Deerhunter) in Atlanta.

Our first official taste of the new LP comes in the form of “The Party Line”. An exuberant and dance-floor ready number, the single sees the Scottish indie pop outfit flirting with funky disco grooves and tropical island rhythms. “Jump to the beat of the party line,” frontman Stuart Murdoch entices with his signature coo.
