Dev Hynes has been operating in the music industry for nearly a decade, but only recently found mainstream success as Blood Orange. Fittingly, it’s under this moniker that Hynes gave his network TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night. Making the most of the spotlight, he performed stunning renditions of “It Is What It Is” and “Time Will Tell”, accompanied by Friends singer and girlfriend Samantha Urbani and several choreographed dancers. Watch the replay below.
The performance came in support of Blood Orange’s 2013 album, Cupid Deluxe. He also recently scored James Franco’s latest film, Palo Alto, and has been collaborating with a number of artists, appearing on UK R&B act Kindness’ new record as well as the Arthur Russell tribute album from the AIDS charity Red Hot Organization.
