Ex Cops share new song “White Noise” — listen

on October 07, 2014, 4:45pm

Brooklyn-based duo Ex Cops will release their new album, Daggers, on November 11th via Downtown Records. The follow-up to 2013’s True Hallucinations was executive produced by Billy Corgan and finds the band venturing into more straightforward and sugary pop territory. After sharing the bombastic lead single “Black Soap” and Ariel Pink-assisted “Tragically Alright” as teaser tracks, the band returns with another dose of pop goodness in “White Noise”.

Out of all the songs on Daggers, “White Noise” most resembles the charming brand of indie pop Ex Cops highlighted on their debut. Except with this track, it’s aiming for radio play rather than a twee club show and judging by frontwoman Amalie Bruun’s astounding vocal display on the chorus, this musical shift is totally welcome.
