On Wednesday evening, Pearl Jam’s SiriusXM radio station aired an interview between PJ guitarist Mike McCready and Jack White. The conversation was teased last week with a trio of clips, but now the entire thing has been made available online.
Over the course of the 30-minute interview, White discusses his various projects, including The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs, both of which he referred to as “happy accidents.” He also chats about the legacy of The White Stripes and the band’s archives. Specifically, White says there are a number of live albums and old four-track recordings from the band that remain unreleased, which he plans to put out through his Third Man Records’ Vault subscription program.
Recorded at Pearl Jam’s Warehouse in Seattle, the conversation also delved into White’s love of blues music, his interest in releasing music on cassette tapes, and his listening habits as a youth, including his fondness for punk music as a teenager.
