Jack White has released a new 7-inch single for Lazaretto highlight “Would You Fight For My Love?”. Perhaps more interesting, however, is the track’s accompanying B-side, “Parallel”, which sees White covering fellow Dead Weather and Raconteurs member Dean Fertita, who is also currently accompanying White on tour.

Co-written by The Raconteurs’ Brendan Benson and released via Fertita’s 2009 album as Hello=Fire, the original version of “Parallel” was a woozy, psychedelic rocker. Here in White’s hands, however, the song’s been transformed into a twangy-meets-synthrock opus, complete with keys from the late Isaiah “Ikey” Owens. It’s an interesting take to say the least and showcases the Third Man label head’s inventiveness. Take a listen below.
