Guitarist Jonny Greenwood is almost as well known for his contemporary classical compositions and film scores as he is for his work in Radiohead (almost). Last month, he once again put that classical side of himself on displayed as he performed with the London Contemporary Orchestra at Manchester’s Albert Hall.
The Boiler Room was there to document the performance, which saw Greenwood debut brand new material alongside selections from his film scores, including the Academy Award-nominated There Will Be Blood, The Master and Norwegian Wood. Greenwood also performed Steve Reich’s “Electric Counterpoint”, which he recently recorded for Nonesuch’s release Radio Rewriter. Replay the full performance below.
In related news, Greenwood is currently in the studio with Radiohead working on a new album.
