As we noted back in October, Annie Clark, aka St. Vincent, has prepped a new two-song, 10-inch for Record Store Day’s Black Friday event. Now, both tracks off the EP, “Pieta” and “Sparrow”, have surfaced online and are streaming in full.

A-side “Pieta” has been a staple of St. Vincent’s live show since February. Meanwhile, B-side “Sparrow” serves as a “counterpoint” to “Pieta”. According to RSD’s website, it’s a “deep musing on death and loss that recalls the sonic textures of Big Science-era Laurie Anderson.” Listen to both below (via well hydrated).

The vinyl is housed in a package designed by Willo Perrnon, who also collaborated with Clark on the visuals for her St. Vincent world tour, and each piece is individually numbered. The EP follows St. Vincent’s excellent self-titled album, which was released earlier this year.
