In 2013, Swervedriver continued its reunion activities by touring sporadically around the globe and releasing its first new single in over 15 years, “Deep Wound”. This year, the iconic shoegaze outfit has spent its time almost exclusively recording, holing up at Birdland Studios in Melbourne and England’s Konk Studios. With mixing completed just a few months ago, the band is eyeing an early 2015 release for its fifth studio album, the long-awaited follow-up to 1998’s 99th Dream.
The first concrete support of an impending album release comes as Swervedriver announces an extensive US tour for this upcoming spring. The 18-date outing kicks off March 4th in San Diego and winds down on March 28th in Cambridge, MA. In addition to stops in Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, and beyond, the band is slated to make an appearance at Austin’s South by Southwest. Consult the band’s full schedule below.
