Jarvis Cocker sang Celine Dion, Pussy Riot covered Le Tigre at Vice’s 20th Anniversary Concert — watch

on December 11, 2014, 2:20pm

Last Friday, Vice celebrated its 20th anniversary with a star-studded party of epic proportions. Already we’ve seen some footage from that eventful night, specifically Jonah Hill covering Drake’s “Marvin Room” alongside Spike Jonze and Scarlett Johansson tackling New Order’s “Bizarre Love Triangle”. Now, video of more highlights has emerged, capturing Jarvis Cocker’s left-field take on the Celine Dion classic “The Power of Love” and Pussy Riot’s rollicking version of Le Tigre’s “Deceptacon”. Check out both clips below.

As I’m personally a sucker for all major power ballads, I can’t help but applaud the Pulp frontman’s theatrical rendition. Meanwhile, seeing Pussy Riot pay homage to the feminist punk icons makes me 10x more excited for the forthcoming Pussy Riot/Le Tigre collaboration.
