On Friday night, Vice celebrated its 20th anniversary with a mini music festival in Brooklyn. The evening saw an all-star lineup of musicians and celebrities take turns fronting a house band led by Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner. Scarlett Johansson sang New Order’s “Bizarre Love Triangle”, Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker covered “The Power of Love” by Celine Dion, and the members of Pussy Riot performed a rendition of Le Tigre’s “Deceptacon”.
Other performers included Stephen Malkmus, Karen O, Chromeo, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Black Lips, Fucked Up’s Damian Abraham, and Andrew WK. Actor Jonah Hill also took the mic to ape Drake’s “Marvin’s Room” with Spike Jonze accompanying on guitar. (Hill teased his performance by posting Drake-inspired artwork.)
Below, watch fan-shot footage of Hill and Johansson’s performance. The entire event was filmed professionally, and will be posted on Vice’s YouTube channel.
