On last night’s episode of The Tonight Show, Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon teamed up for the latest in a series of reoccurring sketches about two geeky best friends’ summer at Camp Winnipesaukee. Heavy on the ’90s nostalgia, li’l Justin and Jimmy are obsessed with Pop Rocks, Full House, and Third Eye Blind. (So, yes, essentially me in 1998).
Much to the dismay of their stuffy camp counselor (it’s light’s out, after all!), they can’t help but stay up all night, hopped up sugar, singing 3EB’s “Jumper” at the top of their lungs. They nail the a cappella cover like any 12-year-old would — awkwardly and without a damn care in the world — which is no small feat considering those thick-as-hell braces. Watch the sketch below.
This Third Eye Blind cover comes just a week after Timberlake tackled a different ’90s hit, Garth Brooks’ “Friends In Low Places”.
