Beastie Boys’ long lost video for “Too Many Rappers” surfaces online — watch

on January 12, 2015, 4:55pm

Not too be confused with “Too Many Cooks” or the monster posse cut “The Rap Monument”, “Too Many Rappers” is a collaborative track by Beastie Boys and Nas. The song appeared on the former’s final album, 2011’s top-notch Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, but the accompanying video has only now just surfaced online. (Props to the diligent Beastie fan who helped unearth it).

Directed by Roman Coppola, the clip features MCA, Mike D, Ad-Rock, and Nas kicking it at Arby’s, some national landmarks (is that Nashville’s Parthenon?), and the produce section of a local supermarket. All in all, it looks like it was a great day for both acts — and now, an even greater day for us music fans. Watch the long-lost clip below. Update: Beastie Boys have officially released the video via their YouTube channel.
