Thanks to the surprising success of Guardians of the Galaxy and The LEGO Movie, Chris Pratt has quickly gone from Leslie Knope’s quirky sidekick on Parks and Rec to one of Hollywood’s most sought after leading men. And his star is about to burn even brighter: In addition to his upcoming role in Jurassic World, Deadline reports that Pratt is an early favorite to star in the next Indiana Jones film.
Disney acquired the franchise in 2013 with plans to revive Indy following 2008’s less-than-stellar Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. According to Deadline, the studio is eyeing Pratt to build the new franchise around, but negations are still in the early stages.
In the meantime, Pratt begins filming Antoine Fuqua’s The Magnificent Seven in April, and presumably is also lined up for a sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy.
