Less than 24 hours after releasing a best-of compilation under his Percussions moniker, Kieran Hebden returns today with new music from Four Tet. Entitled “Makondi”, it sees the DJ/producer teaming with British drummer Nick Woodmansey, aka Emanative, to re-interpret the titular 1982 single from jazz greats Don Cherry and Ed Blackwell. “Makondi” is off a new album called Light Years of Darkness. It’s available now via Emanative’s BandCamp page.
