Get to know the real Interpol in the video for “Everything Is Wrong” — watch

If you think you’ve got a good gauge on the three members of Interpol, you may need to reevaluate after watching their new video for “Everything Is Wrong”.

As the band makes its way to a show, we get a first-hand look at each men’s respective moral fiber: Drummer Sam Fogarino proves to be warm and charming as he woos a pretty girl; guitarist Daniel Kessler is a gentle soul who helps an old lady cross the street; and frontman Paul Banks is, well, sort of a tool, harassing people on sidewalks as his giant ego is led through NYC by a legit bouncer. Considering that Banks directed the clip himself, you’ve got to wonder if this is all a big joke — or, a bit of on-screen therapy. Watch it below.

“Everything Is Wrong” is off Interpol’s most recent long-player, El Pintor. The band’s next release comes on Record Store Day (April 18th), when they unveil a 7-inch featuring “Everything Is Wrong” and the B-side “What Is What”.

In continued support of El Pintor, the band will be on tour starting this spring, including appearances at the Coachella and Shaky Knees festivals. Consult the full schedule here.
