What’s more left-field than José González covering TLC’s “Waterfalls”? Try José González covering that seminal ’90s hit on the set of a celebrity game show.

The singer-songwriter, who’s gearing up to release his Vestiges & Claws LP, tackled the slow-burning ballad on a recent episode of Sweden’s På spåret. González’s quiet, acoustic rendition doesn’t have quite the same groove as TLC’s original, but it’s lovely nonetheless. Later in the show, the Gothenburg troubadour took on another cover, delivering an evocative rendition of “Woman” by John Lennon. Check out both of those performances below.
