The computer hacker allegedly responsible for leaking Madonna’s new album, Rebel Heart, has been arrested.

The 39-year-old man was apprehended in Israel following an extensive investigation that involved the FBI, local police, and an investigation firm hired by representatives of Madonna. According to police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld, the suspect broke into the computers of “several international artists,” stole music, and distributed it online “for a fee.” The hacker’s name has not yet been revealed.

Madonna has condemned the leaking of Rebel Heart, calling the move “artistic rape” and “a form of terrorism.” The leak forced the pop star to not only move up the album’s release date (March 10th), but also prematurely unveil six new songs.

The hacker’s arrest comes just days after Björk’s new album Vulnicura leaked months ahead of its scheduled street date, an unfortunate event that’s since compelled the Icelandic singer to put the entire LP on iTunes.
