Neil Young got the full Jimmy Fallon experience on last night’s episode of The Tonight Show. Fallon began the show by giving his infamous impersonation of the legendary songwriter, singing the Harvest classic “Old Man”. The real Young couldn’t help but join in.
The evening’s real highlight, however, came when Young and The Roots joined forces for a rollicking rendition of “Who’s Gonna Stand Up?”, the socially conscious lead single from his latest album, Storytone. The performance also included a full horn section and choir.
Young also sat down for a brief interview to discuss Bradley Cooper’s epic air guitar performance of “Down by the River” as well as his music player PONO. Not discussed: That vinyl record fad.
