Nicolas Jaar remixes Florence and the Machine’s “What Kind of Man” — listen

on February 26, 2015, 10:55am

Earlier this week, Nicolas Jaar unveiled a new 20-track score for the 1969 Armenian film The Color of Pomegranates. Today, the producer returns with a similarly impressive undertaking in the form of a massive 12-minute remix of Florence and the Machine’s latest single, “What Kind of Man”.

Glitchy and entrancing, Jaar’s reworking sees the powerful pop anthem molded into an eclectic club banger. Though the track goes on for quite some time (it’s nearly 3x longer than the original), there’s hardly ever a dull or dry moment. Would Florence Welch get down to this? Somehow, I think she’d love it. Listen in below.

“What Kind of Man” is taken from Florence and the Machine’s forthcoming album, How Big How Blue How Beautiful, due out June 2nd via Republic Records.
