No Age covers Black Flag’s “Six Pack” — listen

on February 04, 2015, 10:50am

Los Angeles rockers No Age have paid homage to their punk forefathers with a new cover of Black Flag’s “Six Pack”. (If you recall, the band performed on-stage with Black Flag’s Keith Morris and Chuck Dukowski in 2011.)

Staying faithful to the 1981 original, guitarist Randy Randall and drummer/vocalist Dean Spunt race through two-and-a-half minutes of hardcore fury without so much as taking a single breath. Listen in below.

No Age’s “Six Pack” cover is taken from a new 7-inch box set curated by designer Dana Lecthenberg (The Nerdist) as part of an art show for Los Angeles’ Gallery 1988. The release also features Andrew Jackson Jihad’s Sean Bonnette taking on Misfits’ “London Dungeon” and Eel Bros (Man Man’s Honus Honus and Hot Karate’s King Cyrus) tackling Danzig’s “Blood and Tears”.
