The Brat Pack is back this spring: Universal Pictures is re-releasing The Breakfast Club in theaters to celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary.
A newly-restored version of John Hughes’ classic high school comedy will hit 430 screens across the US on March 26th and 31st at 7:30 p.m. local time. Each screening will be preceded by a featurette with interviews from cast members Anthony Michael Hall (Brian “The Brain” Johnson), Judd Nelson (John “The Criminal” Bender), Ally Sheedy (Allison “The Basket Case” Reynolds), and John Kapelos (Carl) alongside filmmakers like Diablo Cody (Juno), Amy Heckerling (Clueless), and Michael Lehmann (Heathers).
Tickets for the special screenings are available at the Fathom Events website; head there now to see a complete list of participating theaters. The Breakfast Club 30th Anniversary Edition will also be released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 10th.
Recently, we dusted off The Breakfast Club with Pennsylvanian rockers The Districts; revisit that discussion here.
