The Tallest Man on Earth shares new single “Sagres”, plus tour dates — listen

Kristian Matsson will return as The Tallest Man on Earth with the May 12th release of his new album Dark Bird Is Home through Dead Oceans. Our first listen of the record comes in the form of “Sagres”, and it reveals a much bigger sound than 2012’s There’s No Leaving Now.

While past works focused squarely on Matsson’s guitar work, “Sagres” is lush with percussion and strings. The six-string sound is still present and powerful, of course, but finds itself more part of the mix than standing firmly at the forefront. Check out the track below.

Matsson has also revealed a lengthy tour schedule, including stops at Eaux Claires Festival, Forecastle, and Hurricane & Southside. Here it is:
