Johnny Marr releases cover of Depeche Mode’s “I Feel You” for Record Store Day — listen

Before being forced to cancel his last North American tour, Johnny Marr had performed a number of covers on stage, including “I Feel You” by Depeche Mode. Now, Marr has announced a studio version of the song will be released as a 7-inch single on Record Store Day, April 18th.

The track will be B-sided with a live version of The Smiths’ “Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want”. Below, get an early listen at his take on “I Feel You”.

Other rarities coming to RSD this year include Metallica’s 1982 No Life ’til Leather demo tapeViolent Femmes’ first song in 15 years; and the earliest known Elvis Presley recordings, which Jack White bought for $300,000.
