Joni Mitchell is reportedly in intensive care at a Los Angeles hospital after being found unconscious in her home on Monday afternoon.
According to TMZ, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was alert in the ambulance on the way to the hospital, but her condition is currently unknown.
Update – April 1st, 4:25 p.m. EDT: According to the Los Angeles Times, a rep for Mitchell says the singer is “doing fine,” but remains in the hospital. She’s currently undergoing test to determine why she fainted yesterday.
Update – April 1st, 7:00 a.m. EDT: Mitchell is “awake and in good spirits,” but remains in intensive care.
Update – April 1st, 12:00 a.m. EDT: A statement on Mitchell’s website confirms her hospitalization, adding, “We are awaiting official word on her condition and will post it here as soon as we know.” Meanwhile, CBC News’ Leslie Stojsic reports that Mitchell is the hospital because of a “minor medical emergency,” but disputes TMZ’s report that she was found unconscious. “I’m told now [Mitchell’s] resting in hospital and is among friends – a good sign,” Stojsic adds.
