Kendrick Lamar’s “King Kunta” syncs perfectly with the Seinfeld theme song

Kendrick Lamar’s powerful To Pimp a Butterfly track “King Kunta” does more than just reference the Virginian slave of Roots and sample James Brown’s “The Payback” and Ahmad’s “We Want the Funk”. It’s a complex song that has K.Dot staking claim to the rap throne while also laying down commentary on the cultural ceiling in place above any black man who tries to rise to success. But in a new mashup by Jack Dudley, the track becomes about, well, nothing.

Dudley must have noticed that Lamar’s funky rhythm is remarkably similar to the mouth noises of the Seinfeld theme, because he pushed the two songs together and the result is pure gold. It’s almost as if the Compton rapper teamed with Jonathan Wolff himself. Take a listen below.
