on March 04, 2015, 1:45pm

Marvel has revealed a new trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Clocking in at over two minutes, the clip provides our most extensive, action-packed look yet at one of this year’s most anticipated films. Of particular note is a fighting scene between the Avengers and the criminally insane rogue robot Ultron.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is the sequel to 2012’s The Avengers and marks the 11th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Joss Whedon once again directs the all-star cast featuring Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), James Spader (Ultron), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), and Paul Bettany (The Vision/J.A.R.V.I.S.). It hits theaters on May 1st.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.”
