Before taking a well-deserved break from the road, Jack White will be playing five surprise acoustic sets in states he’s yet to visit while touring behind Lazaretto. The first of these $3 gigs went down Monday evening in Anchorage, Alaska at the Wendy Williams Auditorium. The 910-capacity crowd witnessed White and his three-piece band perform their first-ever all acoustic set on a stage adorned with old-fashioned street lamps.
The setlist included “We’re Going to be Friends”, “Love Interruption”, “A Martyr for My Love for You”, “Goodnight, Irene”, and covers of Hank Williams and Johnny Cash.
Watch fan shot video, including White talking about being arrested in his suit, below.
Based on his touring history, White’s remaining shows will take place in Idaho, Wyoming, and the Dakotas.
