Jon Stewart announces date of his final Daily Show

on April 21, 2015, 10:15am

After 16 years helming The Daily Show, Jon Stewart will soon turn over the keys to South African comedian Trevor Noah. During last night’s program, Stewart revealed the exact date of departure: Thursday, August 6th.

For those who wish to be in attendance, there will be a donation-based contest to win two tickets to the final taping, including flights to New York City and accommodations in a 4-star hotel. The number of entries is based on the amount donated to New York Collaborates for Autism and Night of Too Many Stars. Further incentives include a signed copy of the final episode’s script, the LED-backlit logo sign from the Austin, Texas episodes, and the banners that hang outside The Daily Show studio. You can enter the raffle at Omaze.com/DailyShow.
