Sky Ferreira has been teasing her new album title on social media, which led MuuMuse to do a bit of investigating. Now, Ferreira has confirmed what the blog had guessed at: her new album is called Masochism.
The indie pop songstress has reportedly been working on the Night Time, My Time follow-up with a handful of big name producers and writers. In addition to re-teaming with producers Ariel Rechtshaid and Justin Raisen, she’s been collaborating with Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie and Andrew Innes. She’s also been playing new songs “Guardian” and “Painting With Different Paints” live, the former of which you can hear below.
Masochism is expected later this year, as is her role in the Kevin Spacey and Michael Shannon-starring Elvis & Nixon about the yes-that-happened summit where The King sought appointment as a “Federal Agent-at-Large” with the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.
