AMC Theaters just recently ran a 27-hour marathon featuring every Marvel movie to date and capping off with the studio’s latest blockbuster, Avengers: Age of Ultron. Unsurprisingly, it looks like the chain is plotting a similar (though far less daunting) event for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
According to Star Wars fansite Star Wars Action News, AMC will screen all six previously released films in the series prior to premiering part one of the new trilogy.
It’s unknown exactly which version of the original trilogy will be shown, though there is speculation that it will be the digitally altered Blu-ray editions recently shown during Star Wars Celebration. As for when the marathon may occur, The Force Awakens is due December 18th, and these events usually run either the day prior or on opening day.
