Class Actress shares new song “More Than You” — listen

on May 21, 2015, 1:20pm

Synthpop songstress Elizabeth Harper, aka Class Actress, last put out an album way back in 2011. Nearly four years of hibernation likely made her fans pretty antsy, but it’s certainly benefitted Harper. She’s back, and she’s a stronger, more confident artist. Case in point: her new single “More Than You”.

Breathy and outfitted with quivering bass, it’s a number about one’s desire kicked into overdrive. “You’ve got me overthinkin’, New York City drinkin’/ Never wanted nothing like I want you,” Harper confesses in such a way you can almost imagine her on the brink of breaking down on her apartment floor. There are hints of her past Rapprocher LP here, but just as she’s landed a new contract with major label Casablanca/Republic Records, she also sounds born anew. Listen in below.
