This year during South by Southwest, Consequence of Sound teamed with Jukely and Tito’s Handmade Vodka to bring Off the Avenue to Austin. We invited nearly 30 bands to visit our special 5th Street Studios setup and film exclusive sessions.
Today’s episode finds Brooklyn alternative rock stalwart Kevin Devine delivering a pair of jams. He leads off with “She Can See Me”, one of the singles off his 2013 LP, Bulldozer. Next, Devine and his two-piece backing band dig back into his extensive back catalog for a stab at “Cotton Crush” from 2005’s Split the Country, Split the Street. No, Jesse Lacey didn’t make a guest appearance, but the song ripped just the same. Check out both videos below.
Revisit our past SXSW OTA sessions with Diarrhea Planet, Doomtree, Monster Rally & Jay Stone, Krill, The Stone Foxes, Yumi Zouma, Milo Greene, Turbo Fruits, and Wilsen, and stay tuned for more from The Zombies, The Vaccines, Mew, The Districts, Son Lux, San Fermin, Kopecky, Rubblebucket, ADVAETA, Torres, and others. You can also still dig deep into all the Off the Avenue sessions here.
