Josh Homme reunites with Eagles of Death Metal for “Complexity” — listen

on June 16, 2015, 9:57am

Eagles of Death Metal, the collaborative side-project of Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme and Jesse Hughes, have announced a brand new album. Zipper Down marks the follow-up to 2008’s Heart On.

It’s previewed by lead single “Complexity”, which Homme describes as “the musical equivalent of holding a lucky rabbit’s foot with the unlucky rabbit still attached.” Listen below. Above you’ll find its pretty stellar, Star Trek-inspired artwork.

A version of “Complexity” was previously released on Hughes’ 2011 solo album as Boots Electric, Honkey Kong.

The release of “Complexity” comes less than a week after Homme made a rare live appearance with Eagles of Death Metal in Paris. Additionally, the band has several more shows lined up in the near future, including gigs at Riot Fest’s Toronto, Chicago, and Denver festivals, as well as X-Fest Calgary and SONiC Boom in Edmonton.
