Vince Staples shares new song “Get Paid”, freestyles with Tyler the Creator — listen

On June 30th, West Coast rapper Vince Staples will let loose his full-length debut, Summertime ’06, through Blacksmith/Artium/Def Jam. The new LP follows last October’s Hell Can Wait EP, which included one of the best songs of 2014 year in “Blue Suede”. Today, he’s offered a glimpse into the new record with “Get Paid”.

Not unlike last month’s “Señorita”, this latest number is infused with equal parts harrowing production and boastful musings on his stacks of fresh moola. Listen in below.

In related news, Staples teamed up with Tyler, the Creator for a pair of freestyles on Hot 97’s “Real Late with Rosenberg” program yesterday. Staples doled out a couple bars over Outkast’s “ATLiens”, while Tyler used Lil’ Kim’s “No Time” to rhyme about LeBron James. Check out the radio segment below.
