Swervedriver shares lovely new single “Winter Depth” — listen

on July 13, 2015, 1:38pm

Swervedriver ended a 17-year dearth of new music earlier this year with I Wasn’t Born to Lose YouTurns out that’s not the only new music the reunited shoegazers have been working on. As part of the Adult Swim Singles program, the band has released their new single, “Winter Depth”.

Described in a press release as “a kindred track to [I Wasn’t Born to Lose You‘s] closer ‘I Wonder?’,” “Winter Depth” has a surprisingly top-down feel to it. Slight glimmers of guitar and a shimmying tambourine weave through heavy fuzz like a welcome, constant breeze on a humid day. Take a listen to the track and score a free download below.

Other Adult Swim Singles from this year include tracks from Yung Lean, Kitty, and Owen Pallett. Upcoming weeks will bring new music from the likes of Flying Lotus, Slayer, a SOPHIE remix of a Sia song, and Run the Jewels. Stay tuned for these releases and more.
