U2’s highly anticipated summer tour got off to a rough start back in May, when The Edge tumbled right off the stage mid-performance. The band’s since settled into life on the road, though, delivering profound musical experiences for fans old and new and busking in subway stations. Bono & co. have also shown love to local tribute bands, as evidenced by their gig in Toronto last night.
For Rattle and Hum track “Desire”, the Irish rockers invited Canadian U2 cover band Acrobat to jam out with them on stage. If you thought one Bono was enough to send an arena of devotees into screaming fits, imagine a second Bono. Suffice it to say the entire venue was flowing with good vibes and double the amount of U2 pride. Watch fan-caught footage below.
