Foo Fighters continue onward with their North American summer tour despite Dave Grohl remaining throne-ridden with a broken leg. A lot of credit for this goes to Grohl’s orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Lew C. Schon, as the Foo Fighters frontman noted mid-way through the band’s show at Fenway Park in Boston on Sunday night. What came next was the evening’s biggest highlight.
Grohl invited the ol’ doctor to the stage to join him in performing a rousing rendition of The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army”. Dr. Lew didn’t just play tambourine or cow bell, either — he split lead vocal duties with his patient. And he was pretty darn good.
