Lil B will try out for the Philadelphia 76ers’ D-League team

on August 26, 2015, 3:08pm

Lil B altered the outcome of this year’s NBA Western Conference Finals after placing a curse on Houston Rockets star James Harden. During the fifth and final game of the series, with Lil B in attendance, Harden set the playoff record for most turnovers in a single game (13). Apparently other NBA franchises have taken note of the rapper’s unique skill set.

Having finished near the bottom of the standings over the last few years, the Philadelphia 76ers will now look to The Based God to cure their recent woes. Today, the 76ers invited Lil B to try out for their developmental team, the Delaware 87ers.

Lil B quickly accepted the invitation, retweeting a fan who suggest he could be the next Jeremy Lin (Lin famously made a name for himself in the D-League before breaking out as a member of the New York Knicks).

This will not be the first time Lil B has attempted to launch his NBA career. In 2012, he attended open tryouts for the Santa Cruz Warriors, the D-League team of the Golden State Warriors.

Below, watch Lil B’s video for “Warms Up” during which he shows off his ball skills.
