Beach Slang cover Dramarama’s “Anything, Anything”, one of the best songs of all time — listen

on September 30, 2015, 10:15am

Beach Slang has a busy month ahead of them. On October 30th, the Philadelphia rockers will drop their highly anticipated full-length debut, The Things We Do To Find People Like Us, via Polyvinyl Records. And two weeks prior, on October 17th, aka Cassette Store Day, they’ll toss out an accompanying covers mixtape titled, Here I Made This For You.

Featuring covers of five iconic tracks by Ride (“Like a Daydream”), Dramarama (“Anything, Anything”), Senseless Things (“Too Much Kissing”), The Plimsouls (“Million Miles Away”), and Best Kissers in the World (“Pickin’ Flowers For”), the killer mixtape will be limited to 500 red cassettes. So, if you still have your Walkmen, um, you’ll wanna grab this one.

In anticipation, the band’s offered us their glorious cover of Dramarama’s “Anything, Anything”. “Glorious” is high praise from this writer, who considers it his favorite song of all time and has covered it in every band he’s ever been in. This sure as hell beats the crap out of that Buckcherry garbage from 15 years ago. Sheesh.

Listen below.

If you’re a Dramarama fan, stay tuned for something special next month.
