Slayer soundtrack a bloody prison riot in video for “Repentless” — watch

on September 11, 2015, 10:05am

Slayer have let loose their new music video for “Repentless”, and it’s one hell of a gore fest.

Directed by BJ McDonnell, known for his work on the Hatchet III horror flick, the clip captures a prison riot that quickly escalates to incredibly violent levels. Folks get shanked left and right (some at the hands of Machete actor Danny Trejo); others lose their heads … literally. While blood’s being spilled, the thrash metal icons shred through the title track out in the prison yard because, well, they are repentless and have no fucks to give.

“We’re telling the story that we’ve always told about society and how humans treat each other,” frontman Tom Araya told Rolling Stone. “It can get pretty violent. It can get pretty stupid. But that’s OK. That’s human nature.”

Watch below.

“Repentless” is taken from Slayer’s new album of the same name, due out today via Nuclear Blast Records.
