Next month, The Zombies will return with their first album in four years, Still Got That Hunger. The follow-up to 2011’s Breathe Out, Breathe In comes after a rather eventful last few months for the legendary outfit, including an appearance at SXSW in March and a full-fledged US tour behind their seminal Odessey & Oracle record.
Today, we get our first look at the new LP with “Moving On”. A bluesy, piano-riddled song, it was originally penned by keyboardist Rod Argent shortly after the passing of Elvis Presley in 1977. “I love the way it’s turned out all these years later,” Argent told the Wall Street Journal of the track. “It’s no longer about Elvis, and the month in the song is now April [instead of August], but that was its genesis.” Listen in below.
Still Got That Hunger, produced by Chris Potter (The Rolling Stones, The Verve), is slated to hit shelves on October 9th via the band’s new label home, The End Records.
