Chairlift premiere new song “Ch-Ching” — listen

on October 14, 2015, 1:05pm

Today, Chairlift shared a new song called “Ch-Ching” on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 program, our first taste of their follow-up to 2012’s Something. Speckled with synths, brass, and even dusty trap-style beats, it’s a colorful, percolating gem of a track led marvelously by Caroline Polachek’s lacy vox.

Details on the duo’s forthcoming as-yet-untitled album have yet to be revealed, but a music video for “Ch-Ching” is expected to be released on Friday. Below, check out a few teaser clips.

In the time since the release of Something, Polachek put out her debut album as Ramona Lisa. Meanwhile, Patrick Wimberly has worked on albums by Wet, tUnE-yArDs, and Heems.
