Miike Snow release first new song in three years “Heart Is Full” — listen

on October 29, 2015, 4:15pm

The three members of Swedish indie pop outfit Miike Snow have kept incredibly busy schedules since the release of their 2013 album, Happy To You. Andrew Wyatt put out a solo record in 2013’s Descender; Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg (as production duo Bloodshy & Avant) have collaborated with major pop stars like Katy Perry; and Karlsson’s EDM project Galantis just dropped an LP in June titled Pharmacy.

Though it would seem Miike Snow has become more of an afterthought than main act, the three musicians have reconvened this week to let loose a brand new song. “Heart Is Full” is a bold comeback track, brimming with rich, soul samples, thundering beats, and larger-than-life melodies that’ll make you forget Miike Snow was ever gone to begin with.

Listen in below.

“Heart Is Full” is taken from Miike Snow’s upcoming third LP, the aptly titled III, due out sometime in 2016. According to a press release, the trio worked on the record in New York, Los Angeles, and Stockholm, and regard it as the “most innovative and creatively unified work thus far.” Says Winnberg of III, “It’s the original Miike Snow sound, but taken to the next level.”
