Alanis Morissette celebrates 20 years of Jagged Little Pill on Fallon — watch

on November 04, 2015, 9:26am

Last week, Rhino Records issued a 20th anniversary edition of Jagged Little Pill, the iconic third album from Alanis Morissette. The four-disc bundle includes a remastered copy of the album, a disc of unreleased bonus material, a previously unreleased London concert circa 1995, and a copy of 2005’s Jagged Pill Acoustic.

To celebrate its release, the Canadian singer-songwriter made an appearance on The Tonight Show Tuesday evening, where she performed a special acoustic rendition of “Hand In My Pocket”. Much has changed since Jagged Little Pill dropped all those decades ago, but one thing’s still certain: Morissette’s confessional lyricism and magnetic stage presence are ageless.

Also during the episode, Morissette, host Jimmy Fallon, and pop singer Meghan Trainor all dressed up in chicken costumes for an “all-clucking” version of “Ironic”.
