Panda Bear’s video for “Crosswords” is a one-man kaleidoscopic dance party — watch

Panda Bear is known to spin some psychedelic webs into his experimental pop music, as he did on January’s Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper. Now, he’s paired one of those trippy tracks with an equally trippy set of visuals with the video for “Crosswords”.

Directed by Mount Emult, the clip is pretty simple in description: Dancer Jeremy J-Roc Wheat enters a building and begins to have a one-man dance off. However, something about this golden keycard-protected location seems to send Wheat’s moves into another dimension. In a kaleidoscope of colors, grooves, and octopus arms, the dancer and his funky swinging limbs multiply again and again. Even his clothes are affected by this trans-dimensional dancehall, as they too swirl and bleed with unreal neon colors.
