The Pains of Being Pure at Heart reveal new song “Hell” — listen

on November 10, 2015, 12:00pm

Hell is the forthcoming EP from The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Due out on November 13th via the band’s own Painbow label, it follows 2014’s Days of Abandon LP.

With just days to go before the release, the New York natives have let loose the title track. The lone original composition on the three-song EP, it’s a jaunty number that sees frontman Kip Berman singing, “You were bold for a joke/ But it went too well/ Now you’re going to hell.” According to a press release, “Hell” is about “how insufferable performances of sensitivity are when there’s a good song playing and someone you want to dance with.”

Listen in below.

The EP is rounded out by a cover of Felt’s “Ballad of the Band” and James’ “Laid”, which you can hear here.

Hell Tracklist:
01. Hell
02. Balled of the Band (Felt cover)
03. Laid (James cover)
