The War on Drugs, TV on the Radio perform on Austin City Limits — watch

on November 08, 2015, 11:45pm

After opening its latest season with a pair of guitar virtuosos in Courtney Barnett and Gary Clark Jr.Austin City Limits went pure indie rock power for this week’s episode. The War on Drugs headlined the show following openers TV on the Radio, and both delivered impeccable performances.

Though The War on Drugs only played four songs, they made the most out of it with their rambling road rock. The band focused exclusively on tracks from the amazing Lost in the Dream, and though that record is now over a year old, it’s still easy to see why it was our favorite LP of 2014. They opened with standout cut “Under the Pressure” before going into the album’s title track. “Eyes to the Wind” came next (and can be viewed as a standalone video below), and “In Reverse” closed out the evening.

TVOTR, meanwhile, mixed in older favorites with highlights from last year’s SeedsClassics like “DLZ” and “Golden Age” lined up well alongside “Could You” and “Trouble”. They also delivered “Winter” as a web exclusive, which you can watch beneath the full episode below.

Below, find all the standalone clips plus the complete ACL episode, with TWOD starting around the 26:20 mark.
