While most will celebrate “The Twelve Days of Christmas” with partridges in pear trees and five golden rings, Darkside’s Dave Harrington has other plans. The producer will celebrate the holiday season with a new remix series titled 12 Days of Remixes, in which he’ll release a new rework for each of the first 12 days of December. Harrington is expected to remix tracks from Beyoncé, Tyondai Braxton, and Empress Of, among others.
Our first peek at the festive collection comes today with a reworking of “Human Nature” by Michael Jackson, which Harrington notes is his favorite King of Pop cut. Stream/download the dreamy edit below.
Update – Wednesday, December 2nd: Today, Harrington has shared an edit of Beyoncé’s “Blow”.
On December 13th, Harrington will throw his second annual “Dave Harrington & Friends Holiday Spectacular”, a “pan-denominational holiday party concert” featuring Harrington, as well as members of Dirty Projectors, The War on Drugs, and more doing holiday classics. At least year’s installment, Harrington helped lead a cover of Joni Mitchell’s “River”.
