There’s an effortless yet fragile beauty to the Daniel Johnston classic “True Love Will Find You In The End”. When sung by a group of elementary school kids, though, the song’s simple, heartfelt lyricism and minimal arrangement seem to achieve even higher levels of sentimentality.
Case in point: Watching the EP Kids Chorus — a group of fourth and fifth graders from East Providence, Rhode Island — take on the track (complete with awwdorable hand gestures!) feels like something magical. It’s not just about cute, smiling faces, however; there’s a hopefulness and innocence within “True Love” that perhaps only kids are able to tap into so naturally.
“True Love” is just one of many songs the EP Kids Chorus has covered. In the past, they’ve tackled Aerosmith’s “Dream On”, The Doors’ “Love Street”, and Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds”. Check out all their videos on their YouTube page.
